Die castings: date marks, markings and die references

Date marks, characters, tables and die references on the marked areas of die-cast components.

The component

Indications imprinted in the casting include characters and small localised references. Markings can occupy areas with raised and recessed features; other part areas contain die references and openings requiring inspection.

What we inspect

Imago examines the markings and indications specified on the component, including date-mark and die-reference areas. Dedicated checks concern characters, tables and geometric features in defined areas. This case covers both imprinted information and visible part references.
