Caps: presence, position and misplaced glue

Cap presence and position, glue deposits and adhesive outside the intended area.

The component

Glue needs to occupy the cap’s intended bonding area. A missing deposit, an abnormal distribution or adhesive spreading outside the application area are different conditions. Component position also forms part of inspection.

What we inspect

Imago identifies the caps present and checks glue in the application area. Inspection includes deposits inside the bonding area and potential adhesive outside it. The visible characteristics of the cap and bonding are examined at the positions specified by the product format.
