Pulleys: surfaces, edges and recess geometry

Treated and grooved surfaces, edges, recess angles and distances between reference features on machined pulleys.

The component

The pulley comprises a grooved band, an intermediate area and a treated surface. These areas can present different surface anomalies. The part profile also includes edges and recesses with specified geometry.

What we inspect

Imago looks for anomalies in the three side-surface bands and checks as-cast and machined edges. Geometric checks include angles, recess angles and distances between specified references. Inspection therefore covers surface condition and the shape of machined pulley features.
