Machined surfaces: chips and porosity near holes

Chips and porosity on machined surfaces, including areas near holes and edges.

The challenge

Machining debris and porosity can appear near specified part openings. The customer needed to distinguish these anomalies from normal geometric surface features.

The inspection

Imago checks machined surfaces for light and dark anomalies compatible with chips and porosity. Inspection considers indication size and extent, including those near openings and the outline.
