Pad-printed sticks: geometry, print and dark spots

Height, diameters, bending, narrowing, dark spots and pad-printing quality on biomedical sticks.

The component

A stick can have defects in its substrate or print. Narrowing and bending change geometry; a dark spot affects material appearance; a pad-printing anomaly concerns the mark applied to the surface.

What we inspect

Imago measures height and diameters in specified areas, checks bending and narrowing and looks for dark spots on the material. Pad-printing inspection examines the print against configured references. Checks therefore cover stick shape, visible substrate anomalies and characteristics of the printed mark.
