Milk bottles: caps, fill level, labels and expiry dates

Labels, expiry dates, cap presence and colour, correct closure and milk fill level in the bottle.

The packaged bottle

A milk bottle brings together several features to inspect: its contents, closure and printed information. Cap presence alone does not describe the packaging condition: cap colour and correct closure also need checking, alongside the milk fill level.

Cap and milk fill level

Inspection checks that the cap is present, has the specified colour and is correctly closed. Fill-level measurement concerns the milk inside the bottle. These are distinct checks on the same container: one concerns capping, the other filling.

Label and expiry date

Inspection includes the label and expiry date visible on the packaging. The project images show processed views used for bottle inspection. This case concerns these checks on milk packaging; the LoonLevel website describes the system and its other applications.
