Flocked swabs: coating distribution and tip shape

Flock distribution along the swab body and the shape of its tip.

The challenge

A coating can have the correct overall width yet an uneven distribution. Local gaps, lateral build-up and differences in tip shape require assessment of the individual swab areas.

The inspection

Imago checks flocking along the body, its symmetry about the axis and tip geometry. The tip, whose shape differs from the elongated section, is assessed separately.
