Fine fibres: count and length within the observed area

Count and length of distinguishable fibres in the examined area.

The challenge

Fine neighbouring fibres can appear joined or interrupted. The customer needed to count them and assess their length while excluding any support items from the count.

The inspection

Imago counts recognised fibres within a calibrated area and measures their visible lengths. Inspection therefore covers both quantity and extent of the elements in the specified region.
